first trip
Not quite finished with all the details, but the Amigo is begging for the wilderness. It been over 3 months without a real trip & it's having withdrawals. So off we go to a short one night campout to Anza Borrego State Park.

final road test
110,000 miles! in the last 3 months I have driven almost 10,000 miles in my new lime green machine: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR...Northern California, Trinity Alps, Shasta, Historic Gold Country; Zion, Bryce & Moab, Utah; Baja Mexico; Red Rock, near Vegas. I truly put my resurrected baby to the test & it held up wonderfully. This is my life & real true Amigo!
2004 - 2005 ------- the update
nearly 200,000 miles on my 1993 Amigo
DanaMite moved to the mountains, Los Padres National Forest. Engine troubles: the Frazier Park hill-billy auto shop (Robert's Automotive) rebuilt the engine & I am not too sure about it now. Poor Amigo stranded me in the High Sierra twice. So I need a more reliable grocery getter. All wheel drive & fuel efficient. totalescape.net/pix/2005/saaaabaru
The unforgettable lime green Amigo is now my 'work truck' for garbage hauling, yard work & the occassional dirt road adventure. Yes, there is another white Amigo in town, that looks just like my original one, belonging to a certain special someone who will remain nameless. I may have inspired more than a dozen people to buy one of these lil rigs. Queen of Adventure - DanaMite
