Even though this campground has more than 25 sites, we've listed it anyway. There is not a lot to choose from in the Mineral King area, so we thought we would list as much as possble. This campground & Atwell Mill are the only options for local camping, except strapping on a backpack and heading for the high country.

Cold Springs is the closest campground to the Mineral King Valley.

The rangers station is walking distance plus there is a meadow walk to the east of the campground. Bears are known to frequent the area, so locking all food in the provided metal bear lockers is a must.

There are good number of walk in camp sites at the end of this campground. The walk is more like a "hike" so be prepared to carry you stuff half mile to a mile. But you will be rewarded with a great spot away from the parking lot.
