All this snow melt & place to put it. California has an extensive network of lakes & reservoirs to store water flowing from higher elevations. Fishermen dig these smaller unknown lakes, but kayakers are finding them too. Winds can pick up in the PM, so glassy still conditions are more likely found in morning hours. This is Marin County, Point Reyes area, laid back style. It's an eclectic beach community near a lagoon, that is home to artists & writers. The local scenery, nearby kayaking & hiking trails of Point Reyes lighthouse attract visitors from all over the world. Mt. Tam, just over the hill from Bolinas, is great for mountain biking & backpacking. Stinson Beach & Olema are both neighboring towns. This is San Francisco's closest & best playground, so you can get-away & still be city close.

From the rolling oak hillsides of Tollhouse Rd near Clovis to the high plateaus of the Eastern Sierra neighboring Bishop & Bridgeport, the Sierra's are bursting with color. The above average rain season has produced tons of wildflowers. As the temps rise, so will the bloom. Go up in elevation & find more wildflower meadows than ever before. Statewide. Snow melt is happening now with warm weather. A few dirt roads may still be muddy this wetter average season.
