description:
This small town has boomed in the last decade with a determined
focus on outdoor activities. The town is a recreation mecca set
in the vast beautiful desert of southern Utah.
Amazingly scenic spot is set in red rock land on the Colorado
River with abundant outdoor recreation around every corner. Snow
capped mountains of Manti La Sal are the scenic backdrop for
more than half the year. Arches & Canyonlands National Park
are both closeby.
Tourism & outdoor recreation is becoming very popular in this region, as well as retirees. But the Mormons & ranchers are still out there. There is still plenty land for solitude, just make sure to keep the peace. Don't be honking at any cattle in the roadway. Stressed out city folks will soon be put in their place out in these parts.
Moab has become a recent outdoor mecca for the magazine style crowd of 4x4 boys, not to mention the rock climbers, rafters, kayakers, & let's not forget the mountain bikers. It's great climate offers plenty months to enjoy the outdoors. And when the weather is rough & camping is not an option, there are plenty motels rooms to go around.
