Lush pinyon pine forest & creeks run throughout the landscape. No ski resorts, no large recreational lakes, & very little tourists. Small shops & restaurants cater to locals & weekend visitors. Totally surrounded by Los Padres National Forest, fresh air, meadows & hiking trails make this an ideal mountain get-away for those who know about it. Hiking & mountain biking trails encircle the forested area. On the west side of town, Cerro Noroeste Road is a very popular ride among motorcyclists.
