Nipton CA is rich with history & worth a trip across the desert to visit. In 2017 plans began to turn Nipton into a cannabis tourism destination. (Not sure how that is going)

On your way through the Mojave Desert, Interstate 15. Nipton is your Gateway to the Mojave National Preserve. Nipton is a small historic western town and maybe undergoing transformation into - a Weed Vacation Destination, or an Eco-Resort. We'll hafta wait and see what becomes of this new endeavor.

Magical Nipton is located directly next to rail road tracks, and guests should be aware that trains can come by anytime, so please stay clear of the railway. Trains blow their horns loudly at all hours of the day and night. Earplugs are provided in each room and are also available to campers upon request.
