description: Where the fishing is good & the crowds are minimal. If you want a Eastern Sierra canyon to call your own, Rock Creek near Lake Crowley may be your spot for the weekend. Summer campers are here on the peak holiday weekends, but most of the time it's pretty secluded & scenic. Aspen & boulder lined creek beds, awesome camping & cabins, plus granite views. As of 2008, the lodge at Tom's Place is very rustic -- and unfortunately run down. The cafe & bar are still very active.
