Pronounced zai-ziks, most people know remote Zzyzx Road as an exit off the Interstate 15, on your way to Las Vegas. But there may be some sort of life out here in the Mojave Desert. This photo is from a small abandon resort that was in operation within the last decade, once called Zzyzx Mineral Springs Resort. The locale was also known as "Soda Springs" in the mid-19th century.
