browser - internet application used to access the world
wide web; web browser
example: Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, AOL,
domain name - your very own unique URL like www.yourname.com
email - a way to reach someone using electronic mail.
Look for the @ symbol!
example: webmaster@totalescape.com
IE - Internet Explorer
ISP - Internet Service Provider; a company that provide
internet access service to residential & commercial customers
online - you have access to the web on a frequent basis
& have an email address that you check on a regular basis
OS - Operating System
most common:
PC Microsoft Windows NT, XP
Macintosh Apple Mac OSX
URL - universal resource locator; a web address; browser
address
web hosting - a safe place to park your web site domain name so the world can access it
web site - an online presence for new , potential &
existing clients to reference instead of a mere phone number
or occasional print advertisements
www - world wide web; the technology age has really
arrived ! And as a California business these days, you must be
a part of it.
