The Climate Ride is an annual charity bike ride where folks ride a few hundred miles over days, learn about clean energy, support a great cause, and have fun cycling. California event has been held in September or in May. We get confused keeping up with this event.

California’s premier Americana music festival! Located on the beautiful grounds of the Earle Baum Center in Santa Rosa, this event features a stellar lineup of national and regional Americana musicians. With two separate stages, the music will be seamless all afternoon. Delicious BBQ and beverages including beer and wine will be available. Dynamite Silent Auction and Raffle for a chance to win a guitar signed by the musicians. Bring the family to celebrate Americana and the musical heritage of Earle Baum. All proceeds benefit the Earle Baum Center for the Visually Impaired.

Feather River Fish Hatchery, Feather River Nature Center and Riverbend Park

On the Feather River between Historic Downtown Oroville and the Fish Hatchery, the town bursts with fish-flavored activities during the annual Salmon Festival. Friday night starts @ Feather River Nature Center for dinner & dance. Saturday brings on the fun, food, music and vendors on Main Street. Lots of great local info – salmon recipes, water/drought, fishing and environmental issues.  Big pancake breakfast, a farmer’s market, live music, a craft fair, clowns, rides for the kids. Hatchery tours. The Bounty of Butte County will be located atop Myers Street, next to the Municipal Auditorium leading into Salmon Court. FREE to attend and tastes sold as desired. There will be food demonstrations, local food vendors, restaurant tastings and so much more.

Small Town Country Fair near LA

Located on the back roads of Los Angeles county. North, in the high desert mountain region in between Santa Clarita and Palmdale sits Agua Dulce, a small town back behind Vasquez Rocks Park, off Hwy 14.

The Agua Dulce Country Fair is a family-friendly community fund raising event that has been going on for over 50 years. Wow, that is a mighty long run. Chili cook-off, cake walk, photo contest, arts and crafts, raffles and a silent auction. Events kick off w/ parade followed by the fair with vendors, food booths, carnival games, beer garden, live bands and dancing until midnight. Local bands, cover bands, indy rock, classic rock, blues, soul, plus country & western. Fiddles and all.
