Hwy 395 Eastern Sierra / Bishop & June Lake
Take Hwy.14 North thru the north Mojave Desert. Northbound on Hwy.395 to Bishop, June Lake or even all the way up to Lee Vining, Bridgeport, or Tahoe. This highway
skirts between the Inyo National Forest regions. This area may be getting seasonal snow, double check road conditions.

At the base of Mt.Whitney, take Whitney Portal Rd.Take Hwy.101 North to Ventura & exit Hwy.33 to Ojai
Stop here for lunch & relax in the quaint downtown area. Lodging is closeby. Backtrack 1 mi. & continue North on Hwy.33 as it winds through Wheeler Gorge & the beautiful landscapes of Los Padres National Forest . Chains may be required during snowy seasons. This route may be closed in winter months. Snow ski areas may be open for skiing at Mt. Pinos near Frazier Park & Pine Mountain Club near the Grapevine area of I-5. Sledding areas avalable at Mt.Pinos or Lockwood Valley Rd. Bring your snow chains! They could be required in this region.

- Option to loop back to I-5, by taking a right on Lockwood Valley Rd. & continuing eastbound
Hwy.2 Loop - Angeles Crest / Wrightwood
Take Interstate 210 to La Cananda, exit Hwy.2 North into the Angeles National Forest . This route may be closed in winter months, but will be open from I-15 to Wrightwood. Chains may be required during snowy seasons. Snow ski areas open for downhill skiing & snowboarding. Jackson Lake is also nearby. Horse rentals area available in the area. Plenty of picnic grounds & hiking trails around. Stop in town for lunch & relax in this forested retreat. Lodging is available in town.

- Loop back to I-15, by taking a right on Hwy.138 & continue down thru the Cajon Cyn
4WD Guide Trails of the San Bernardino MtnsHwy.18 & Hwy.330 Loop - Lake Arrowhead / Big Bear
Take Interstate 215 North to San Bernardino, Exit Hwy. 259 / Hwy.30, take Hwy.18 North into the San Bernardino National Forest.
Drive up to Lake Arrowhead. Chains may be required in winter. Snow ski areas open for downhill skiing & snowboarding. Great place for an overnight visit in a winter wonderland thats not too far from home. Ice Skating rink located in Lake Arrowhead & sledding is quite a popular family activiy.Take Hwy.18 over to Big Bear for snow skiing. Horse rentals available in the area, even in the winter months near Big Bear City. Return by taking Hwy.330 down the mountain.
