The city of Visalia is located in the fields of the San Joaquin
Valley just below the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The access to
various National Parks, National Forest, & Wilderness areas
makes this a great stop-over spot for those who plan to visit
the Sierras. It is situated at the front door to both Sequoia
& Kings Canyon National Parks. The quaint downtown area is
lined shade trees & shops.
If your are headed up to a Sierra destination from Southern
California this is a great spot to stop for the night. Coffee
shops open bright & early for the eager travelers. Downtown
Visalia is well worth a visit.
