Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) has over 3000 acres of coastal foothills to explore: dirt bikes, 4x4s, ATVs, quads. Lots of oak trees and vegetation make this a very scenic park with great views over the valley. 4x4 camps open all year long. Springtime brings wildflowers; Summertime can get dang pretty hot. There are campgrounds geared towards family camping & some sites may be reserved by groups or 4WD clubs. Park is divided into 2 recreation areas: Upper Ranch & Lower Ranch.

The historic Mission of San Juan Bautista, San Benito County Historical Park and Museum, Pinnacles National Park and Fremont Peak State Park are also located close by.
