One of the most popular recreational lakes in the Sierra Nevada, mainly due to its proximity to Yosemite National Park. Bass Lake is a great alternative to camping inside Yosemite Valley. Lots of boating, fishing, waterskiing & numerous campgrounds around this lake. For more seclusion and privacy, try camping away from the lake. Long ago Bass Lake was formerly known as Crane Valley Reservoir.
