Primitive Camping
Many walk-in campsites. Large grassy field near coastline where the parking lot is located half mile from camp area. Campers must carry their gear in approx. 1 mi. Parking can be tight on holiday weeknds or busy summer months. This place is popular among backpackers, cyclist, surfers & young people.
It's no surprise to hear a small drum circle; the word community is part of the scene. Everyone shares the same large camping area - picnic tables & fire rings alike. Share your food if you have extra.

Hiking
Grassy wetlands, tide pools, coves & prime coastal access is all within walking distance from your tent. The hike to the large field carrying your gear may be more than you expected. Be ready for a serious walk car campers. Climbing the cliffs & walking the beaches around here should be enough to satify any person seeking some exercise.
There area number of good hikes from this locations up the hills to the east. Big Sur BackRoads loop around the mountain range behind this ideal location. Partington Cove is an excellent are to explore & is way further south.
