Originally named Little Bear Lake, the community of Lake Arrowhead is very popular SoCal mountain lake resort area & relatively close to the urban tribes below, which makes for an ideal quick weekend get-away. While the prices of a deluxe rental cabin may astound you, try paying the fire insurance on such a luxury location in this vulnerable wildfire region. Overnight accommodations & camping are plentiful in this alpine village. Nearby Big Bear Lake is a more popular destination for tourists; Arrowhead is more residential and low key.
