Susanville is located in the northeastern California, where the sky is open, the hills are green & the air is clear. Surrounded by lakes, forests and the deserts of Nevada, this is the largest town for 100 miles any direction. The high country where deserts meet forests. This is NorCal cattle country, so don't be expecting many vegetarian restaurants, although they do have a good share of Chinese Food: try the Happy Garden!
description: A small historic city in rural Northern California - surrounded by mountains, forests, lakes and rivers. Hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing and hunting. The main drag (highway 36) has most of what you would expect from a town - grocery stores, library, RV parks, hotels, fast food, restaurants & a WalMart!
