Some call it the middle of the Mojave Desert, where the temperatures are extreme, and many roads come together. The fact is a hell of a lotta tourist traffic and freight trains come thru here, bound for California consumers. Barstow, CA is where the California Interstate 40 & 15 meet, along with Hwy 58. This is where historic Route 66 can still be found. It's on the way to Vegas, to Arizona, anywhere east of Cali.
