Pine Flat Lake CA: One of the largest lakes in California, Pineflat Reservoir is located at the edge of majestic Kings Canyon, where the mighty rushing Kings River spills out of it's granite gorge. Sierra National Forest lies to the north, with Courtright & Wishon Reservoirs. A bunch of rangers & water company folks live out here. Several campgrounds, RV park, marinas & maybe a cafe or store, surround the lake north shores. The closest market with post office is near the dam, in Piedra, CA
