Named for the crescent-shaped stretch of sandy beach south of the city, Crescent City, this the farthest place on north coast, still inside the state of California. Oregon is close by and rainy weather dominates the year. Locals call this the county seat of Del NORT. (best not pronounce the 'e' in Norte)
