While the city of San Jacinto may not be inside Mount San Jacinto State Park, it is indeed close by - as the crow flies. San Jacinto California is located at the base of the mountain on the western side, right next to Hemet. This SoCal foothill area has hot springs, golfing & suburban development. Developers built new homes and essentially extended Hemet. Now they have more than doubled the population of SJ, in the past 20 years.
