Gridley is orchard country, north of Sacramento, CA. Located along Hwy 99 w/ shopping, restaurants, coffee shop, and gasoline. Be aware that there is a >> 35 mph speed limit << through town, 5 stop lights and it gets pretty busy during the day time. Lots of old folks driving, walking to market and school children crossing this highway. East Gridley Road connects Hwy 99 to Hwy 70, via farm road, about 5 miles to the east. Beware of slow moving farm equipment on the roads. Pass with caution.

description:
Rural farms, cattle, and fruit orchards populate the landscape. The Main Drag, highway 99 dominates the region. Quaint downtown peaked in the 1950's, but still holds it's small town charm w/ historic buildings, offices, and services. No restaurants in downtown, so don't go searching. All the eateries seem to be on the busy thoroughfare, HWY 99.
