One of the most popular recreational lakes in the Sierra Nevada, mainly due to it's proximity to Yosemite National Park. Bass Lake is a great alternative to camping inside Yosemite Valley. Lotsa boating, fishing, skiing & numerous campgrounds around this lake. For more seclusion try camping in hidden redwood grove away from the lake, but still close by.
