Red Mtn Trail is real rough. Maintained by local 4WD clubs. Maybe a lifted &/or locked 4WD would be the better choice. This road should be taken by only experienced off-roaders!
description:
Bluer than blue!! Western Sierra lake that is not easy to reach, but with 4WD, but worth your time & efforts. Good fishing & great camping. It takes a determined 4x4 vehicle to access this special place, so you may as well spend a couple of days here. The first lake you reach will be Red Lake, just keep going another 2 miles up.
