Easily, one of the weirdest places in California that Total Escape has visited. This small desert community has some bizarre stuff. The Darwin Falls hike attracted us, the desert scenery kept us & the town perplexed us. Old mining town turned artists refuge? By all the 'no trespassing' signs, we figured the real recluse types live here. Maybe the next cyber cult, biker joint, hippy hangout? No DSL, forget it.
